Rachael Sage is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, poet, and visual artist She is the founder of indie label MPress Records. Sage has released fourteen solo studio albums. Her performances combine music with between-song banter. Sage was named one of the Top 100 Independent Artists of the Past 15 Years by Performing Songwriter magazine. She joins host Michael J. Arbouet once again to talk about her new album Poetica.
Sage said the album “was an opportunity to create new work with a fantastic group of musicians, with no creative boundaries. The language itself and imagery therein has led us to places musically that traditional songwriting never would have. There are pieces that fall into a more classical vein, and others that skew more blues, and if you believe it, Americana and even jazz.”
